December Serenelli Saturday begins at 7:00am
Anyone 18 years or older is welcome to join our Serenelli Saturday community day the second Saturday of the month for prayer, food & community time, spiritual enrichment, and ministry workshops.
Schedule for December 13th:
*What is a Rorate Mass? It is votive Mass in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary celebrated on a Saturday during Advent by candlelight.
The Mass receives its name from the first words of the opening chant in Latin, “Rorate caeli desuper, et nubes pluant iustum” (“Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the Just One,” Isaiah 45:8).
This Mass is celebrated in the dark, only illuminated by candlelight and typically just before dawn. If timed correctly, by the end of Mass the entire church is filled with light by the sun. This speaks of the general theme of Advent, a time of expectation eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Son of God, the Light of the World.
