Serenelli at Your Parish

From the Home Page: Parish Chapters

Bobby Kenney, prison ministry field coordinator at Dayton Correctional, speaks at a parish education event about prison ministry. This parish was one of the first to explore becoming a parish chapter.

Live far away? Can’t make it to the monastic headquarters? You can bring Serenelli Project to your parish. We train leaders at parishes to form Serenelli community and extend incarceration ministry in the context of parish life.

There are four objectives of a parish chapter:

  1. Community time and prayer for incarcerated and victims
  2. Welcome and mentorship for re-entered brethren
  3. Parish education, awareness, and recruitment
  4. Local incarceration ministry (e.g. county jail, halfway house, etc.)
